Warning: Key plot points for the latest installment of this adventure follow below.
The Soldiers Table Revealed
The third episode ended with a dramatic pause and presented the first table of characters who will separate from the primary party to begin their own adventure, distinct from the remaining groups.
The combat-focused team includes Teor (played by the voice actor), Thimble (Laura Bailey), Tyranny (the cast member), Wicander Halovar (Sam Riegel), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie).
Dividing the Cast
Considering an extensive roster, it was obvious from the beginning that maintaining everyone at the same party would be unfeasible.
Hence, the opening chapters of this story serve as an Overture, connecting the characters’ stories before branching into three separate parties: Fighters, Planners, and Explorers.
What Defines the Warrior Group
According to Brennan Lee Mulligan, the combat-focused party is for players who are drawn to a classically intense combat and conflict-driven gameplay experience where diplomatic options are rare.
Upon first impression, characters like the reluctant priest the cleric might appear out of place, but the actions of episode 3 show why these five characters are perfectly fit for the combat party.
Why They Must Go
To begin with, the team understands precisely where to head next after a violent first encounter with the enemy group.
Casimir of Thjazi Fang—whose death initiated the narrative’s action—exploited the enemy for his selfish purposes, entering Thjazi’s hideout, assaulting the rogue, and taking all the enchanted items to dispose of.
The antagonist then cleared his obligations and ran away to a fortified location in the remote area, north of the urban center, with Teor’s brother close behind.
Character Drivers
Additionally, each member has a personal reason to depart the urban setting:
- The agile hero, as Thjazi’s partner and trusted friend, seeks revenge.
- Kattigan has experience in the northern area and warns that it is a nasty place.
- The warrior and Wicander, having resisted his house’s orders to execute the fighter and instead freed him, have no other options.
- However, their reputation as prominent individuals in the influential clan could assist the team access locations they normally couldn’t.
- Furthermore, The grateful character pledged a eternal obligation to The savior for his rescue and will now accompany him wherever.
Pursued by Authorities
Lastly, all of them are wanted by the authorities that rule the city for a variety of reasons, making staying in the city no longer safe:
- The rogue and The character are known criminals.
- The strong figure and Wicander defied House Halovar and the horde of evil beings they are partnered with.
- The target is targeted for elimination by House Halovar.
This means them few options but to travel to the remote area in quest for the antagonist.
What’s Next?
From episode three’s post-show segment, we find out that the warrior group won’t be around the following episode, leaving the rest of the cast members to assemble the Explorers and Planners parties.
